Too lazy to write something new...

Fiscal Conservative--does that mean the tax breaks and corporate welfare go to the bankers, the energy cartels, the warmongers or some other group who doesn't need the help? As long as you can blame welfare queens its all good.

How about some Fiscal Progressiveness where we see who has the money and tax them. Like they did in the past. How about we stop spending money on endless wars that suck up our treasure and kill our people. How about end the drug war an put those cops to work securing the border or regulating the newly created marijuana farming industry.

I could go on, but we need less talk about "going back" and looking ahead. Too many conservatives see themselves as pioneers, homesteaders who can do it all by themselves out in the wild if gub'mint would get out the way. What they really are are Indians who tried to share the land and realized too late that the rest of the world was coming.

Nothing says America is guaranteed to win. The precious bible never mentions us.America could be a blip on the radar of history if we don't get our shit together.

But what do I know, I'm an asshole posting on a wrestling board. Pro-choice, tax the rich, generally anti-war, actually pro-gun, and pro-legalization and an American asshole.

Little Tired

I got to stop watching politics. It just makes angry. The right and they left in equal doses even if I do favor the left a little more. I know I have progressive tendencies. I am for a women’s right to choose. I am for equal rights. I am for every American having a place to live, having food, having health care.

I am also very conservative in the fact that I believe in the Constitution. The whole thing. Freedom of speech, the press, religion. I believe in the second amendment. I have no problem with a citizen of this country owning guns.

I also think that in this modern age we have to be smart and we have the tech to do background checks to keep the guns out of criminals hands. We register cars in this country, it seems logical to have to register some guns. I have no doubt that if machine guns were invented when the Constitution was written there would have been some kind of control on them. The founders were not stupid men. They didn’t say that every man may have a cannon, which were available at the time. I also think that technically, if you get a gun you should have to join a state militia, as that is mentioned. And if joining that militia is a kind of gun registration, than so be it. People worry that if guns are registered the government will know where to go to get their guns. I think if that started happening the only guns the government would get is the cold dead hands kind.

What it seems to me is the most anti-government people are mostly bitching about is money. Don’t take my money! Don’t give my money to the poor. Where is my money! Give me more money! Shouting at the government. Blaming the wrong people while the fat cats and corporations drain the country dry.

They trick one groups of poor to fight against other groups of poor. Distraction, distraction. I do think that there is a lot of fear in this country. Especially of former middle class white people who are realizing the last 40 years was a lie and that supply side economics is bullshit. Especially when the system is gamed in the favor of the rich and the powerful and the connected. The whole country is in the middle of a big reset downward where a big part of the country is going to be forced to do with less.

Hopefully we can get out of this before some really bad stuff has to go down.

Like what you ask?

Famine, riots, marshal law, religious zealots taking over, invasion, world war.. Yes I know the U.S. is already in many wars around the world. Hopefully we can knock some of that shit out. Sending our men and women to die for nothing is bad enough but when they come back and we basically forget them, especially the injured on the inside ones, that’s just unforgivable.

No matter what some people would have you believe, not everything can be done for profit. I mean look at me, I don’t get paid shit. Of course I don’t work very hard at this. I just open my brain, shake it, and get the splatter everywhere. Laterzzz

Got money?

Something that I have been thinking about. Who should be laid off?

If you were in charge, who would be the person that you pick to lose their job? Is it the person who has a family and has to take a lot of days off? Is is the person who uses more sick days? Should it be the younger person who should have no problem finding a job and has no kids be laid off? What about the company man that might have savings or is just about to make it to the pension? Are there some that deserve to keep their jobs more than others?

I don't even know if all bosses think about that. I guess on some level they might but then again I think most bosses are just covering their own asses.

This kind of thing was coming to mind when I was reading about the buyout that the car makers want from the government. The main argument for the "donation" is that it will save jobs. Yeah. I believe that. Maybe save a CEO or two.

What they should do is use that money for retraining. Give out low or no interest loans to people who want to go back to school to learn a new job skill. Help pay for college. Maybe they should help some people open some small businesses? Give a loan for that.

But they won't. Because average people don't have lobbyists. Average people foot the bill. Average people end up taking it up the ass while the rich get richer.

The idea of giving money to car companies that got buttfucked by the economy because they didn't plan ahead just pisses me off. Why the hell didn't they make more fuel efficient cars? Why didn't they make better cars? Why did they spend assloads of money fighting fuel, emission, and safety standards instead of making a better cars? They spent money advertising about the bigger engines, the faster speeds, the power of the vehicles but very little a cheap, safe, dependable, and just plain good car. Well, fuck them. I don't want the autoworkers to lose jobs but for the last 30-40 years the car companies have ignored or fought the signs of change. If they are that stupid then they should go. Change or die. That is an axiom of business.

But what do I know? I am not the President of a company. I am not a boss. I am not an economist. I am just a person who knows what it is like to have an empty pocket. I am just someone who knows what it's like when you have to save your money and pinch pennies. Shit. What do I know right? Laterzzz...

Watching the news

I watch the news.

Were you aware that prices were going up? I was not aware of this. I was not aware that the money I was making a year ago is just not buying as much shit now as it was then. I was not aware that a fucking 4% raise barely covers the cost of living. And let me be totally clear here, I know that 4% is more than some people get.

The question I have when they are talking about this one news is "why are you surprised?"

I have been saying that this is coming. We have been living in this country like the party will never end. Especially when it comes to the price of gas and with people buying SUV's. Then you have people buying houses that they can't afford. What the hell did they think was going to happen?

You want a fucking example of the fucked up thinking? Vehicle navigation systems. Why the fuck are people buying these things? Buy a damn map asshole. I seriously doubt that most of these thing are ever used. I bet you have a certain group of people who can't use them. They just can't get the hang of them. Then you have the people who use them once, maybe twice. Most people only drive to the same places every damn day. What do they need a five hundred dollar navigation system for? This should be a niche item but they are everywhere. It is just a waste.

That is what we do here in this country. It is like we are kids and can't wait to play with the next new toy. Flat screens, Ipods, Tempurpedics; crap that no one needs.

While we waste our resources on this shit the price of food goes through the roof. People are evicted from their houses. And we piss away our limited money fighting wars in countries around the world. It's fucking insane.

God, what is the answer?

Why is it so hard for the people in this country to see that we have start building up America again? We have to make our country stronger. We need to build roads and transportation systems. We need to make sure that no person ever has to be homeless. We need to make it so that if you lose your job you don't have to worry that you are going to end up on the street, that you will be retrained and as long as you want to work you will get a job. We need to make sure that water and power arrive in each home and that waste is taken away.

This is going to cost. It is going to cost money. It is going to cost time. It is going to cost someone having the balls to step up and say to America, "it isn't going to be easy but the next few years we are all going to have to sacrifice to make sure that this is the best country in the world. Nothing worth while is ever easy and nothing is free."

Ah fuck it. I shouldn't watch the news. It just makes me think. And that is mostly never a good thing.

Laterzzz...

Who cares what you think?

I am gonna write something. I just don't know about what.

I was going to write about money. But then I thought, no. That might just lead to whining or gloating. Mostly whining. Besides, we don't like to talk about money in America. Actually, we don't mind talking about money--what we don't like talking about is the lack of money--or the people who don't have the money. After all, in America if you are poor it is your fault right? You didn't work hard enough or save hard enough or were not bright enough to have money. It doesn't matter that the number one way to have money is to be born with money; if you don't have it, it is your fucking fault you loser. And we don't like to talk about losing in America. We only like winners. Preferably rich winners. We're number one! We're number one! We're number one!

When it comes to money we only like to talk about the things money can buy. We have this feeling that our possessions reflect on the person that we are. If we have the bigger, better, faster, or more expensive car, house, or TV; that must mean that we are bigger, better, and happier people. The world is ours, just check out the size of my, whatever. Fill in the blank with whatever makes you happy. Will it? I don't know.

If that kind of thing makes you happy is it up to me to judge you? What does it say about me if I see that you are happy with you new BMW and think it is not valid happiness? Who the fuck am I to judge your happiness? Who is anyone to judge what anyone else does? If us Americans use lots of the worlds resources and take things for granted that the rest of the world aspires to, who's fucking business is that? Honestly, maybe the rest of the world can just fuck off. I am serious here.

What in the hell gives the rest of the world the idea that we should give one iota what they think? Even closer to home, what the hell does it matter what I think about you or you think about me? If I make you smile or make myself happy, isn't that what counts. Isn't depending on others for your validations a bigger problem than just doing what feels right for yourself? Jesus, I just don't know.

To end this rant, I am going to include a picture of something that makes me happy and then something that pisses my girl Erin off. The soda machine has Diet Pepsi in it. Yummy. The woman in the picture is on one of those scooters, but she don't look like she really needs it. People who use those scooters but don't really need them, lazy bastards in other words , piss her off. That cracks me up. Myself, I am pro-scooter. Walking is over-rated. Laterzzz...

One lazy bitch, thirsty from not walking.
