Pizza Letdown
My pizza failed me. I knew it would. I had one of those Digiorno frozen pizzas. They never have enough sauce or cheese or topping. Usually I will fix that. I’ll get some extra pepperoni, cheese, tomato sauce and just tweak it. That turns a slightly below average pizza into average. Which is acceptable, especially when the pizza is on sale.
I just didn’t feel like being bothered today. I did add a little cheese and I am out of pepperoni but I do have sauce. I didn’t feel like bothering opening a jar of sauce just for a little for a damn pizza. Why the hell cannot the pizza have enough sauce? What if this was the pizza that did have enough? Truth is I can never remember which pizza brand is cheap on the sauce. I guess I will remember now.
Oh, I am not cheap where I don’t want to open a damn jar or sauce, but you know what happens? I will open it, use a bit of it, put it in the fridge and then go back in few days and there will be mold in it. I just don’t use tomato sauce that often. And yes I could make my own quick sauce and I do, but sometimes its quicker to reach for a jar of something, add a couple things too it while the water boils and than eat pasta that way. Don’t judge me.
So my pizza was weak. I ate most of it but that’s another story. I mean, come on, it’s still pizza.

Ice Tea

When summer rolls around I start thinking about the really important things. When it's hot and the sun is beating down and you want nothing more than to crawl in front of the air conditioner wearing nothing but skin the mind turns to refreshing beverages. I know mine does. One of the best for the summer is ice tea. Or is it iced tea?
I really don't know. I mean it is tea that has ice in it. So I guess you have iced the tea. But then the important part of the beverage is to have ice and tea. So ice tea is correct. Or maybe it should be ice, tea? Ice and tea? Icy tea? I'm pretty sure it is mostly interchangeable.
Of course, I am sure somewhere there are people who will tell you it should be one way or the other. That doesn't really matter to me. I don't care what it is called as long as I have a big glass of it.
Not everyone makes ice tea the same. For something that is relatively simple, if you thing about the basic ingredients, there are many variations. More than I could ever make even if I cared to.

Basic ice tea:
Tea
sugar
water
ice
Not too hard. Then you can add lemon or other fruit. Which I am personally against. I mean a little lemon is OK but leave the fucking berries and shit away from my tea. I got nothing against berries and stuff but I think they have their place. Most of the time that place is not near me.
I don't always make my tea from scratch. I buy the powdered mix. Some of that mix is better than others. I like the 4C stuff. Lipton isn't bad either. They don't taste like real tea exactly but they are good. Sometimes I add real tea to the pitcher to add more flavor. Those usually are the best.
Too be honest sometimes real ice tea isn't all that good. When I said that different people had different recipes that just leads to different ways of people messing up the taste. I've had tee that was too sweet. Too bitter. Too strong. Too weak. And various combinations of those. And if the tea is cheap it can leave a horrendous aftertaste going down which can be just horrid.
The one thing that bothers me is about drinking the powdered teas and even regular tea is the sugar. Lots of sugar. You can use the fake shit but that stuff worries me too. Oh well. I guess its either diabetes from sugar or alzheimers and/or cancer from the fake sweetener.
There is one thing that I have done that could be considered weird. I had some mint tea. I made a cup of that and put it in a pitcher of iced tea. I have seen recipes where they say put mint leaves in it. I never did that but the tea was pretty good. I would do it again but I ain't going out of my way to add mint to the tea.
I don't know why I felt the need to talk about tea today. I am drinking some right now so maybe that is it. Maybe I just felt the need to write about nothing important at all? So it goes. Laterzzz...

It's July?
Let's see, yesterday was the 4th. Time to set off high powered explosives to celebrate the birth of our country. Of course, fireworks are illegal in most states and in others, with the drought and fire alerts, setting off fireworks could burn down the state. See, making fireworks illegal (and don't get me started on those pussy-ass sparklers) is just another example of one of Biff's rules:

Just some bitching...
I suppose in the one instance I can blame the fact that I am sick and didn't feel like cooking. But that would be a bullshit excuse. There are too many bullshit excuses nowadays. I should know I give them all the time.
I have been sick though. Just in time for my fucking three day weekend I get a cold or flu or what-the-fuck-ever, and it lands right in my sinuses and in my throat. It makes me cough and fucking hurt and I am just tired of this shit.
My fucking body can't even have the courtesy to get something really bad so that I can go to the doctor and get some time off of work and some really decent medicine. No. Here I am, on the third day of my weekend and starting to feel better. Not really better, but good enough so that I can go to work. At the same time, the weekend is over and it was shit. Yay!, me.
You know, I bet this sounds like I am fucking whining. Well, I am fucking whining. i feel like shit and now I got to go to work tomorrow and deal with work shit and I am not going to be in the mood for it. Hell, now I bet I won't even be able to sleep tonight. Why? Just because that's my fucking luck. Laterzzz.
