Title?
OK, I don’t quit. I just have been lazy. And unmotivated. I haven’t found anything that has grabbed me by the short hairs and said, “Write about me!” And I refuse to write about celebrities and movies just to have something to write about. Refuse might be a bit much, I just don't care to.
But I do think that is why so many people write about and talk about celebrities; they have nothing else to talk about. If you are going to write about something I guess it helps if your reader knows what you are writing about. Talking about Britney Spears give a cultural signpost that indicates where you are in the frame of of a conversational context. In other words, what is the use about writing about Bob from down the street when nobody knows Bob. And if Bob read your writing he might show up and punch you in the nose. Odds are that Anna Nicole Smith isn't going to be showing up any time soon and punching you in the nose. But you never know.
Long Pause
See, this is what happens. I just stop writing and then forget all about it. Bam! The whole day goes away. I did watch a couple movies.
Miami Vice--gawd this movie sucked. Sucked balls. Not because it was bad but just boring.
Borat--Another not good movie. Yes there were a few laughs, but I think it was more of a "hey let's laugh at these people rather then with." It just wasn't that funny. I also think a lot of the humor is from the "is this really, real or is it just bullshit?" Kind of like Jerry Springer. It felt like some of the situations were real people reactions and that is what they were going for, but at the same time, they were filming a movie. Which means they want to get on film exactly what they want to get on film. If it gets in the film it was supposed to be in the film, even if it wasn't supposed to be in the film. You know what I mean?
I ended up writing about movies didn't I? Dammit. That's it for now...Laterzzz....
