Snow days
Figured I need to write some stuff. I guess I pissed away February. I should have written more. Eh. What you gonna do?
Ok. Let's see, what has been going on? Winter is here. It has snowed. Actually, yesterday I called out from work. There was a wet snow and getting a ride to work was damn near impossible. So I said fuck it and went back to bed. It turns out that the two other office drones that I work with called out also. That left the manager and then later in the morning the supervisor. The manager is above the supervisor just, fyi. Apparently they had to answer phones for the call outs, try to fill shifts, and all our duties. Supposedly they sat in our seats instead of hiding in their office. I said to the other girl that I would have paid real money to have seen that. And I would. Least a buck. I am just glad I didn't go in or else the work that they both did would have been just me, trying to do the work of 3 people. While still being their butt-boy. I maybe a lot of things but I don't want to be anyone's butt-boy. I make sure to avoid doing any hard work. I don't get paid for that. Maybe for another 5 dollars an hour, but then again, maybe not.
I watched the 2nd and 3rd season's of Arrested Development. Great show. I saw most of the 1st season, at least I think I have. I may have to purchase it. These shows are very watchable. The comedy is very layered. Situations foreshadow other events and then there maybe a call back to things that happened before. It also can be side-splittingly sarcastic and slapstick. It was a good show that never caught on like it should have but it will be one of those shows that in a generation people will still talk about as, "ahead of it's time".
Two movies I want to see are the Departed and Ghost Rider. I got the Departed on my Netflix list but they are playing that fucking game where they keep saying there is a long wait for the movie. I heard that they do that to loyal customers and people who rent a lot of movies. They have an algorithm that pushes them(frequent and longer term subscribers) down on the list for new movies. If you are new subscriber you move to the top of the list for new movies. It supposedly encourages new subscribers to stick around, at least until they become old subscribers and start getting dicked over.
I want to see Ghost Rider because I am a former comic book geek and I dig a good action-adventure comic book movie. Speaking of which, I saw a preview for the new Spiderman movie. Don't look half bad. I am sure there will be other shit I want to see at the theater soon, but I can't think of anything right now.
I fell asleep before I posted this. So I am posting it on Friday. I will put the day I wrote it on the top. Either way. Laterzzz.
